Friends in France! The Smiling Man heads out to the beautiful Reunion Island of France as an Official Selection of Meme Pas Peur, the International Fantastic Film Festival! We are part of a showcase of 60 amazing genre films, and we are so excited to share The Smiling Man with audiences for our French Premiere!

Bam! Zoom! Pow! We are so excited to announce that The Smiling Man is an Official Selection of the 2016 Geekfest Film Fest! This is a special announcement for us as we were part of year 1 of the festival, and Geekfest was such an amazing experience, touring my first film Carolina Parakeet to a bunch of Cons and getting us great exposure. We can't wait to share The Smiling Man with their audience!

It all begins Feb 20-21 with the Long Beach Comic Expo! From there, we'll be hitting up WhedonopolisCon, Fan Expo Canada, New York Comic Con, Rose City Comic Con, Stan Lee Comikaze, Tucson Comic Con, New Jersey Comic Expo, and who knows where else!

About the Love Your Shorts Film Festival

The Love Your Shorts Film Festival is an annual showcase in Sanford, Florida, of short films from around Florida, the United States and the world. The February festival, founded in 2010 to embrace and appreciate the art of the short film, was first shown at the Greater Sanford Regional Chamber of Commerce. Since then it has been presented at the 1923 Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center, one of a handful of historic theaters remaining in Florida. During the festival, film fans can view films up to 30 minutes each in a variety of categories and attend film workshops.

The Smiling Man takes home 3 Awards at Fright Night Film Fest 2015

The Smiling Man has taken home three awards at the 2015 Fright Night Film Fest in Louisville, Kentucky! Amid a fantastic selection of horror shorts which made for very stiff competition, The Smiling Man won Best Paranormal Short, Best Actor (Strange Dave) and Best Director (A.J. Briones). This is the first Best Actor award for our very own Strange Dave, and we are so excited for him, as he's been scaring audiences all over the world during our fantastic festival run.

The Smiling Man visits San Francisco for Another Hole in the Head on 11/7!

The Smiling Man heads to San Francisco this weekend when it screens at the 12th Annual SF Indie's Another Hole in the Head 2015! Screening on Saturday, November 7 at the New People Cinema in Japantown at 2pm with a great selection of short films and with the writer/director in attendance (it's weird talking about myself in the third person, haha), tickets are on sale online now!

This is the second time I've had a film in this festival, and I missed it last year, but I'm so excited to be there this time! If I had my way, I'd be there for the entire run, but unfortunately I will only be there for an evening, but I'm definitely going to make it count!

The Smiling Man Wins Best Director award at Midwest Horror Shorts

Well this is an awesome surprise! The Smiling Man took home the award for Best Director at the Midwest Horror Shorts Film Festival! It's our second award of the weekend from Oklahoma City, and we can't be any happier! Now, as much as I'd like to horde the glory for myself, we all know that making a film does not happen alone, and The Smiling Man is no exception! I would like to thank the entire cast and crew for making this film happen!

We would also like to thank the festival organizers and the audience at the Midwest Horror Shorts Film Festival for giving us the opportunity to screen our film there, as well as the other filmmakers whose work we are grateful to screen alongside. It was such an honor!

The Smiling Man Wins Best U.S. Short Film at the Twisted Horror Picture Show

We're so proud to announce that The Smiling Man has taken home the award for Best U.S. Short Film at Twister Alley International Film Festival's Twister Horror Picture Show! This is a great win for our team, as we were against some very strong competition, the likes of film festival favorites Invaders, Bad Guy #2, Night of the Slasher and others. We were also nominated in 3 other categories (Best Director, Best Actor, Best Poster) and we are very happy for the winners in those categories and congratulate them on a great win.
